Karen Handel Campaign Releases New Digital Ad On Women’s Health Care

Ad Highlights Ossoff’s False and Demeaning Attacks

(Alpharetta) – The Karen Handel for Congress campaign released a new digital ad today highlighting Karen’s advocacy for women’s health issues featuring one of Karen’s best friends who is currently fighting cancer.

“I’m currently fighting cancer and when I see ads attacking Karen Handel they make me sick,” said Anne Lewis. “Karen is one of the strongest advocates for women’s health I know. She stands up for us and she stands by us when we need her most. I know because she’s one of my best friends. Ignore the attacks, let’s elect a woman we can count on.”

Opinion: Ossoff’s false attack on Handel and women’s health “Start with a fact hardly ever acknowledged about this episode: In no way would cutting ties with Planned Parenthood have reduced Komen’s funding for breast-cancer screenings. Period. Had Komen stuck with its decision instead of caving to PP’s PR onslaught and reversing its policy, the money in question would have gone to other service providers. That almost certainly would have helped Komen pay for far more effective breast-cancer screening.” (Atlanta Journal Constitution, 5/17/2017)
